To avoid making this post a super long one I’ll go straight to the point. As a young girl growing up in Ndola, I was a big fan of Zambian music. So many artists inspired me but Afunika was more special to me because of the Copperbelt pride! When I first heard “Kakonkote” I was captivated by his voice, his style and the energy. I became an instant fan. One thing about Ba Afu, is that despite being an incredible entertainer, he is in my books one of Zambia’s greatest male vocalists. I have so many favorite Afunika songs, this man’s catalog is insane! We are truly blessed as Zambia to have such a great talent for all these years. I wish him nothing but greater success, good health and long life so that he can continue to build his legacy!
And now let me speak about “the other one”! Lol… SALT MULI SUPU! Bashi Lota.. Mr. Music… DRIMZ!!!

Drimz and I got nominated in the same category that year, “best new artist” Zambia music awards 2016 and I won! Him and I bonded over that cause his hit song ‘Ireen Mambilima’ was huge, I’m humbled to have beaten him 😂 but he knows I’ve been his fan from day one! He has gone on to make great music, headlining big events, gracing weddings and making great memories with all those he touches through music!
